At the start of the show, Bruce Springsteen set the tone with a powerful message that echoed through the arena:
“The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to summon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock and roll — especially in these dangerous times.
We call on everyone who believes in democracy and the promise of the American experiment to stand with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism, and let freedom ring!”
With those words, Springsteen didn’t just kick off a concert — he ignited a rallying cry for resistance, striking a chord that resonated far beyond the stage.
Trump didn’t waste any time firing back. Taking to his Truth Social platform, the former president unleashed a blistering tirade against Bruce Springsteen, clearly riled by the rock icon’s remarks.
“I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a foreign country to speak badly about the President of the United States,” Trump wrote.
“Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics — and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy. Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden — a mentally incompetent FOOL and the WORST President in our history, who nearly destroyed our country.”
Trump continued the rant, escalating the insults:
“If I hadn’t been elected, America would’ve been GONE by now! Sleepy Joe didn’t have a clue what he was doing. But Springsteen? He’s ‘dumb as a rock’ and couldn’t see it — or maybe he did, which is even worse!”
He ended the tirade with a personal jab that lit up headlines:
“This dried-out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he’s back on American soil — that’s just standard fare. Then we’ll see how it goes for him!”
