“Al Pacino, 84, Facing Health Crisis, Says Insider”

“After a serious health scare due to COVID-19, Al Pacino, 84, is said to be spending more time contemplating his own mortality.”

“According to RadarOnline, the legendary actor has reportedly shifted his focus, now seeming ‘haunted’ by thoughts of his own mortality.”

“On October 8, the 84-year-old released Sonny Boy, a memoir in which he candidly discusses his past struggles with alcohol and the terrifying experience of nearly losing his life.”

A source reveals that Al Pacino is fully aware he’s nearing the end of his journey. Lately, he can only focus on reflections of his mortality and the past.

“Releasing his memoir has brought these thoughts sharply into focus,” the insider shared. “After nearly losing his life to COVID, it’s all he can think about.”

However, the source adds, “It’s a testament to his resilience that he’s still working—and plans to keep going until the very end.”

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Pacino opened up about his near-death experience from COVID-19 in 2020. He described feeling “unusually unwell” at home, battling dehydration and a high fever.

Pacino revealed that after calling for a nurse, he unexpectedly lost his vital signs, putting his life at serious risk.

“I was sitting at my house, and then I was gone. Just like that. I didn’t have a pulse,” he recalled.

Pacino went on to describe how he regained consciousness minutes later, finding himself surrounded by doctors and paramedics in full protective gear. “It felt like they were from outer space or something,” he added.

“Everybody thought I was dead,” he told People magazine. “The nurse who was taking care of me said, ‘I don’t feel a pulse on this guy.’”

The Scarface star, who will turn 85 next year, recently admitted that he’s finding it difficult to come to terms with his age.
