Man arrested after stabbing pregnant wife to death

The patrol call that should’ve been routine turned into a domestic-violence homicide: officers forced entry, found a 35-year-old woman deceased, and detained her 29-year-old partner, who reportedly confessed after an argument. Family later said she was three months pregnant, deepening the tragedy.

Investigators called SAMU, confirmed death at the scene, and launched a full inquiry. Forensics processed the home; the victim was sent to the medical examiner for autopsy; the suspect was taken to a homicide unit for interview and charging decisions.

Cases like this underline how quickly intimate-partner conflict can escalate and how often warning signs go unreported—controlling behavior, threats, isolation, prior assaults, or stalking. Prevention hinges on awareness, safe reporting options, and fast, survivor-centered interventions.
