Donald Trump’s health has once again become a trending topic—this time due to a viral photo that’s left the internet buzzing with speculation. While the former president has long questioned political rivals’ fitness for office—especially Joe Biden—it’s now Trump himself who’s under the microscope.
Viral Photo Sparks Rumors
The speculation began after a photo surfaced on June 9 of Trump attending a UFC event, where champion Kayla Harrison was seen placing her belt around his waist. But rather than celebrating the moment, social media zeroed in on what appeared to be a suspicious line running down Trump’s pant leg.
Some online users claimed the line was not a crease, but tubing from a Foley catheter—a medical device used to drain urine from the bladder. Posts on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok quickly went viral, fueling rumors that Trump might be dealing with serious medical issues.
One user wrote, “Trump appears to be wearing leg braces and possibly a catheter. The weakness on his right side has been noticeable for years. That straight line? It’s not a crease—it’s tubing.”
Another added: “Trump is definitely wearing a Foley catheter. That sloshing sound when he walks? Classic telltale sign.”
Still, others pushed back, arguing that the crease in his pants was just that—a crease. “That’s a close-fitting pant leg with a standard crease,” one commenter noted. “A Foley catheter wouldn’t be visible like that under tailored clothing.”
What Is a Foley Catheter, Anyway?
According to the Cleveland Clinic, a Foley catheter is a flexible tube inserted into the bladder to drain urine—often used for patients recovering from surgery or those with urinary issues. While common in certain medical cases, it’s not typically worn in public unless absolutely necessary.
Trump’s Health: What We Know
At 78, Trump is the oldest U.S. president to enter a second term in office. His health has been a recurring topic of debate, especially after he chose not to release detailed medical records during his campaign against Kamala Harris.
In April, however, White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella released an official report declaring Trump in “excellent cognitive and physical health.” The report noted:
- Height: 75 inches
- Weight: 224 pounds
- Recent colonoscopy showing benign polyps and diverticulitis
- Medications for cholesterol and heart health
- Past cataract surgery
- No major issues in scans of the eyes, ears, heart, or lungs
“President Trump is fully fit to serve as Commander-in-Chief,” Barbabella stated, citing his active lifestyle as a factor in his overall wellness.
Trump himself added, “I took a cognitive test—and I got every question right. They ran a bunch of tests, and everything looked great.”
White House Response
Fact-checking site Snopes investigated the catheter rumors and reached out to the White House for comment. Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung dismissed the claims outright:
“The President has been the most transparent in history. The recent medical report clearly shows he’s in peak condition. These conspiracy theories, spread by unstable individuals online, are just more noise from the same people who insisted Joe Biden was fine when he wasn’t.”
Final Thoughts
While the image has sparked debate, no concrete evidence confirms that Donald Trump is using a catheter. For now, the rumors remain just that—rumors.
What do you think? Could there be more to the photo than meets the eye?
