Rumors are swirling that Meghan Markle is gearing up for a major return to Instagram, and some believe she’s set to outshine Kate Middleton in terms of popularity.
After a challenging few months, it looks like the Duchess of Sussex is ready to turn things around. Speculation is building that Meghan will not only return to Instagram but also revive her beloved blog, The Tig. One public relations expert has gone so far as to predict that she will surpass her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, in the popularity stakes. While a recent poll still shows Kate and her husband, Prince William, enjoying widespread admiration, publicist Mayah Riaz believes this is all about to change.
In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Riaz confidently stated, “It’s inevitable—once Meghan returns to Instagram, she’ll leave Kate behind in terms of popularity.”

Mayah Riaz pointed out that Kate’s social media presence is likely managed by a team of staff, creating a polished and controlled image that aligns with the Royal Family’s carefully crafted public persona. As Mayah explained, “This creates a picture-perfect life that the Royals are keen to project.”
In contrast, Meghan Markle, who stepped away from royal duties three years ago to start a new chapter in America with her husband, Prince Harry, has the freedom to approach social media differently. Mayah believes this independence will give Meghan a significant edge, saying, “She’ll have the liberty to post whatever she wants, without needing anyone’s approval before sharing it.”
When asked what we can expect from Meghan’s Instagram return, Mayah confidently replied, “We’ll get an authentic look into all aspects of Meghan’s life, from her family moments to her personal journey.”
According to Mayah, Meghan’s Instagram is guaranteed to attract widespread media attention. As she put it, “We don’t often see Kate’s Instagram posts making headlines, but Meghan’s life on Instagram will undoubtedly steal the spotlight. We can also expect early announcements about her projects to make waves through her social media.”
Meghan and Harry were recently spotted dancing the night away at Beyoncé’s concert in California, giving fans a glimpse of their fun, carefree side. Mayah noted, “We’ve seen Meghan enjoying herself at Beyoncé’s performance, and sharing sweet public moments with Harry. That’s something we would never see from Kate and William.”
“This is why Meghan and Kate’s Instagram accounts will be so different,” Mayah explained. “Even those who strongly oppose Meghan still follow her on Instagram, which speaks to her undeniable pull and intrigue.”
However, she also offered a word of caution for Meghan, acknowledging the potential challenges ahead. “We fully expect Meghan herself to take the reins of her Instagram account. Once it’s confirmed that @meghan is truly hers, she will quickly amass a huge following.”
But with that surge in followers, Mayah warned that Meghan will likely face a fair share of online trolls. “Along with the influx of supporters, there will undoubtedly be a rise in negative comments. We’ve already seen the abuse Meghan has faced on platforms like Twitter (X), and unfortunately, I believe that same kind of trolling will spill over to Instagram as well.”
