Green Bay, WI — Back in 2025, a remarkable baby boom took place at the HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin, when 14 nurses working in the Women and Infants Center were all pregnant at the same time.
What started as a funny coincidence quickly turned into a full-blown phenomenon that captured national attention. The nurses — all close colleagues — discovered one by one that they were expecting, most of them due within months of each other.

“This is an incredible full-circle moment for many of our nurses, some of which are about to become first-time moms themselves,” said Amy Bardon, director of the center, in the release.

“Each of these women were already baby experts in their own rights,” she continued, adding that for some, their knowledge is “about to further deepen.”
“I am so excited for each of our nurses and the journey they are embarking on, and I hope they have a special Nurses Week and Mother’s Day,” she said.
Bardon also noted that the moms-to-be — who are all registered nurses, as well as health “educators” and “advocates” — have been receiving their prenatal care and checkups from friends and colleagues right there at St. Vincent.11 of the 14 pregnant nurses at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.Courtesy of HSHS St. Vincent Hospital’s Women and Infants Center
“When our expecting nurses are ready to welcome their little ones into the world, they’ll be cared for by their friends and colleagues here at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, and they find comfort in that,” she said
“But even before labor, these women have already built some really unique bonds with their colleagues, and I love that each of them has the chance to go through this special moment with each other.”
