The House leader alleges Donald Trump served as an FBI “informant” against Jeffrey Epstein

Senior Republican Claims Trump Was FBI Informant in Epstein Case

A senior Republican has made a bold claim: former President Donald Trump allegedly acted as an FBI informant in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Johnson Defends Trump

House Speaker Mike Johnson told CNN that Trump has been “misrepresented” in the controversy over the Epstein files. He argued that Democrats exaggerated the matter, using it as a political w**pon.

Johnson explained, “Trump isn’t calling Epstein’s crimes a hoax. He knows they were horrific. He’s saying the narrative around him has been twisted. When Trump first heard rumors, he banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago. He even worked with the FBI to bring him down.”

The Fight Over Epstein Files

For months, pressure has mounted on the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release all Epstein-related records. Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed the files were “on her desk” waiting for release. Soon after, however, the DOJ announced it would not release more documents and insisted no “client list” exists.

Later, the Trump administration reversed course, promising to make all FBI files—including grand jury testimony—public. Trump himself dismissed the controversy, saying, “It’s a hoax blown way out of proportion. If those files had anything on me, my enemies would have used them during the election.”

Survivors Demand Transparency

Last week, GOP Rep. Thomas Massie and Democrat Ro Khanna held a press conference with Epstein survivors. They are pushing for legislation to force Trump’s team to release all records.

The House Oversight Committee has already published more than 33,000 pages of documents, including flight logs, surveillance footage, court filings, emails, and audio recordings. Many survivors spoke publicly for the first time.

Ongoing Disputes

Democrats argue the released files add little new information. Crucially, they contain no “client list,” which the FBI maintains does not exist.
