Truth Behind Viral Hand Signal Claims at Utah Shooting

Rumors spread quickly after the tragic shooting at Utah Valley University, with one of the most persistent

claims suggesting a man seen behind Charlie Kirk during the attack was a U.S. Secret Service agent once assigned to former President Donald Trump.

Despite wide circulation online, no credible evidence or official confirmation supports this theory.

Authorities stressed that their focus is on facts. Police confirmed that Tyler Robinson, 22, of Utah, was taken into

custody in connection with the shooting. His arrest reportedly followed tips from people close to him, including

a family member who urged him to surrender. Former President Trump echoed this in an interview, saying he believed

“with a high degree of certainty” the suspect was in custody and credited someone close to Robinson for helping law enforcement.

Investigators continue to review surveillance video, witness accounts, and physical evidence while urging the

public not to spread unverified claims. Officials emphasized that misinformation only hinders the process.

The priority remains a thorough, accurate investigation to determine what happened and why. As Utah residents and the nation watch closely,

authorities are calling for cooperation and patience while facts, not speculation, guide the path toward clarity and accountability.
