“Awkward Moment Caught on Camera: Trump Snubs RFK Jr.’s Wife Cheryl Hines’ Handshake at UFC 314”

Cringe Alert: Cheryl Hines Left Hanging by Trump in Awkward UFC 314 Moment

It was a scene straight out of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Cheryl Hines—actress, comedian, and wife of presidential hopeful RFK Jr.—found herself in the middle of an uncomfortable viral moment during UFC 314 at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

As former President Donald Trump made his grand entrance, he warmly embraced RFK Jr., now serving as his Secretary of Health, and exchanged greetings with several high-profile figures, including Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy. But standing just inches away, Hines was left awkwardly extending her hand—only for Trump to completely ignore her and turn away, the snub captured live on ESPN.

Hines, ever the professional, tried to brush off the moment with a smile, but the uncomfortable exchange didn’t go unnoticed. Social media lit up with reactions, many calling out Trump for the public slight. The moment instantly went viral.

Despite the initial awkwardness, Hines kept her composure. She later shared a friendly greeting with Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, who had accompanied him to the event.

Later photos from the event appeared to show a warmer interaction between Trump, RFK Jr., and Hines—at one point, Trump was even seen holding Hines’ hand while chatting, hinting that the tension may have been smoothed over.

Still, the moment added another twist to the already complex relationship between Hines and Trump. Despite her husband’s endorsement of the former president, Hines has been vocal about her personal opposition to Trump’s 2024 campaign. According to TMZ, she made it clear that her support lies solely with her husband—and not with his political ally.

That didn’t stop her from making an appearance at Mar-a-Lago back in November, where a source told The Post that she was “talking to everyone, including Donald Trump,” and seemed to be “fitting in well” with the MAGA crowd, as reported by Page Six.
