Report: Elon Musk Allegedly Offered Ashley St. Clair $15 Million and $100K Monthly to Keep Their Baby Private

Elon Musk Reportedly Offered Ashley St. Clair $15 Million and $100K a Month to Keep Their Baby a Secret

A new Wall Street Journal report reveals that tech mogul Elon Musk allegedly offered conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair a hefty financial package — including a one-time $15 million payout and $100,000 per month — in exchange for keeping the existence of their child under wraps.

St. Clair, 26, first revealed the birth of her son with Musk — reportedly his 13th child — in a February post on X (formerly Twitter), stating she had kept the baby’s arrival secret for five months to “protect our child’s privacy and safety.”

Musk, 53, has since cast public doubt on the child’s paternity, though a recent paternity test reportedly confirmed with 99.9999% certainty that he is the father. According to the WSJ, the baby boy is named Romulus, and Musk’s name does not appear on the birth certificate.

The report claims that Jared Birchall, Musk’s longtime associate and so-called “fixer,” offered St. Clair a confidential agreement: $15 million to cover a home and living expenses, plus $100,000 monthly until the child turned 21. In return, St. Clair would agree to keep her relationship with Musk — and the child’s paternity — a secret.

In a message allegedly sent to St. Clair, Musk reportedly justified the secrecy by calling himself “#2 after Trump for assassination,” adding that “only the paranoid survive.”

St. Clair declined the offer, expressing concern that such secrecy could make her son feel “illegitimate.” She also reportedly objected to a clause that restricted her from criticizing Musk, without offering her the same protection, and noted the agreement lacked provisions for her child’s healthcare or future financial security in case of Musk’s death.

After she made her relationship with Musk and their child public in mid-February, the WSJ says Musk withdrew the original offer. He also allegedly slashed child support payments — from $100,000 to $40,000, and then down to $20,000 a month.

In her February post, St. Clair wrote:

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”

She added:

“I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy and refrain from invasive reporting.”

Musk has yet to publicly confirm the report, but did respond indirectly via X with a cryptic post:

“TMZ >> WSJ.”

In March, Musk acknowledged sending financial support to St. Clair, tweeting:

“I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”

With Romulus, Musk is believed to have fathered at least 14 children, including six with his first wife, Justine Musk, three with singer Grimes, and four with tech executive Shivon Zilis. Zilis recently announced the birth of her fourth child with Musk — reportedly his 14th overall — in late February.
