Urfan Sharif, Father Who Killed Daughter Sara, Violently Attacked in Prison
The heart-wrenching case of 10-year-old Sara Sharif sent shockwaves around the world in August 2023. The young girl was found dead in her home, the victim of years of relentless abuse. Her father, Urfan Sharif, later admitted to fatally beating her in a chilling handwritten note left near her body. In it, he claimed, “I lost it,” insisting he hadn’t meant to kill her—but the brutal injuries told a different story.
Sara’s injuries were nothing short of horrifying—more than 70 wounds covered her small body, including fractures, burns, and even bite marks. The extent of the abuse painted a grim picture of prolonged suffering no child should ever endure.
In a desperate attempt to escape justice, Urfan Sharif, his partner Beinash Batool, and his brother Faisal Malik fled to Pakistan. But the international manhunt caught up with them. They were extradited to the UK and brought before the courts to answer for their crimes.
In December 2024, justice was served. Sharif was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum term of 40 years. Batool was given at least 33 years, while Malik was handed a 16-year sentence for his role in the horrific abuse and cover-up.
In court, Sara’s grieving mother, Olga Domin, delivered an emotional statement, branding the trio as “executioners.” Through tears, she called her daughter “an angel” now free from pain—a heartbreaking tribute to a life cut tragically short.
From the moment Urfan Sharif entered the high-security walls of HMP Belmarsh, his fate was sealed. In the brutal hierarchy of prison life, child abusers are despised above all—and Sharif quickly became a marked man.
On New Year’s Day, that hatred erupted into violence. Two inmates launched a vicious attack, slashing Sharif with a makeshift blade fashioned from a tuna can lid. He suffered deep wounds to his neck and face, but despite the severity of his injuries, he survived.
One of the suspected attackers is believed to be Steve Sansom—a violent offender already serving a life sentence for a brutal double homicide. According to prison insiders, the assault came as no surprise. Sharif’s crimes had made him infamous behind bars, and many inmates saw the attack as justice served.
“It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy,” one source reportedly said, echoing the unspoken prison code that offers no mercy to those who harm children.
