President Donald Trump publicly thanked El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele following the deportation of hundreds of suspected criminals from the U.S. to El Salvador. The move came after a video surfaced showing the transfer of 261 migrants, including 137 deported under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, 101 Venezuelans, and 21 individuals linked to the notorious MS-13 gang.
Trump praised Bukele for his strong cooperation in addressing this issue, emphasizing the importance of the Alien Enemies Act in facilitating the deportations. The former president also took the opportunity to criticize Democratic leadership, suggesting that their policies had contributed to the influx of such individuals.
